A FIRKIN CASK BATTLE!
The Tri-Cities Cask Festival is proud to present a battle for the ages, featuring breweries competing head-to-head to determine who will be the last cask standing.
For the first time ever all four old-timers from Port Moody’s Brewer’s Row (Moody Ales, Parkside, Yellow Dog and Twin Sails) will be under the same roof with newcomer sensations Northpaw, Mariner and Fraser Mills, taking each other’s casks to task!
Each brewery is making two casks: one old-school, a beer that harks back to the Ales and West Coast IPA’s that pioneered the craft scene in BC: balanced, full and satisfying. The other? We told them, ‘Go Nuts’. Even we don’t know what’s going to happen, but you’ll get to decide whose beer is best, and who will win the battle of The Ultimate Brewer!
When, Where, How
Sunday February 18th, Noon to 4 PM at the John B Pub, 1000 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam. Tickets and more information at tricitiescaskfestival.com
Tickets are $35 and include ten tokens for four-ounce pours and a nifty souvenir glass. Extra tokens are available for purchase, and there is a special menu to keep you going through a full day of watching casks slug it out. If you need a break, the John B will be open for all your extra beer and food needs.
Please don’t drive to the festival! Public transportation to the John B is easy: the 152 bus is a five-minute ride from Lougheed Station Bay 2 to within a one-minute walk of the pub and taxis are easily accessible.
